Unfold is a personal daily planning app that helps users organize their day through a visual timeline, calendar view, and AI-powered schedule generation. The app focuses on making daily planning feel clear, structured, and visually intuitive, while also being installable as a PWA for a more native-app-like experience.
The core feature is the Liquid Timeline, a custom timeline system that keeps task cards visually balanced while still preserving time accuracy. The app also includes Smart Snapping, which highlights the next pending activity, an End-of-Day Countdown that shows how much scheduled time is left, and Conflict Detection for overlapping tasks.
AI Powered
The AI-powered Magic Timeline feature allows users to describe their day in natural language, and the app uses Gemini AI to convert that description into structured timeline events. This makes planning faster and reduces the manual work of entering each task individually.
Calendar and Planning
Unfold also includes a calendar-first planning experience with a circular date grid, monthly overview, progress rings, and visual completion indicators. These details help users quickly understand their schedule and daily progress at a glance.
Through this project, I improved my skills in React, TypeScript, responsive UI development, animation-driven interfaces, AI API integration, and PWA design. I also practiced building a more polished productivity app with task management logic, local data persistence, and a strong focus on user experience.
